Company History
The company was registered in 1996 but started business operations the following year 1997, commencing operations in Mombasa before relocating to Nairobi 8 months later. During that year, tourism was at its lowest, following the outbreak of tribal fighting in Likoni, at the Kenyan coast, that led to loss of life in and disruption of business. At the same time, the country experienced 7 months of extended El Nino rains which also wreaked havoc on businesses. Despite these daunting challenges, the founder, boldly pursued his vision after leaving African Tours and Hotels, one of the leading tour operators of the time, bringing experience, passion and vigor into the business with a vision to actualize his dream of not only being a business owner but also to excel in the tour industry.
In the year 1998, the industry experienced yet another blow when terrorists attacked Kenya, including the American Embassy in Nairobi affecting travel generally and tourist industry in particular as travel into our country ceased for many months. Many travel agencies did not survive the turbulence. But with resilience and perseverance, Lindberg remained afloat. We owe lots of gratitude to our supportive customers who supported us during the tough times, and onwards to this day.
Lindberg has grown from a one-person operation to a strong formidable team with tour consultants, travel guides and professionals that ensure that the customer experience is seamless. Our dedication in service delivery and commitment to developing our team has borne fruits over the years.
Our clientele ranges from a single traveler to family units and groups spanning domestic, to regional, and ultimately international.
Our commitment to serving every customer with a difference has been the hallmark of our business operation over time, and moving forward, we endeavor to be market leaders in the region.
